What differentiates me from those? I’m short on theory, cliches and platitudes. I’m long on real world, in-the-fox-holes advice. How many of those other voices have managed a team as big as mine and generated the kind of revs (north of $3 billion) and income (well over $700 million) that I did? Answer? Not many. I have been to “the show” with the two biggest, most respected and most profitable companies in my industry—both NYSE powerhouses and household names. What I’ve learned along the way is what I teach, coach and write about. This journey from ground zero—literally selling watermelons on the side of a highway in Austin—to running a massive multi-billion dollar region is what my books and Master Class are all about. I’ve done it for you because I haven’t forgotten how dang difficult it all was. My ambition is to both encourage and inspire you—to help you see what your future can look like with lots of hard work, a bit of luck and a total commitment to adding gobs of value to your company or non-profit”.
